    Mid-Century Red  Spinning Top Cigar or Cigarette Ashtray 5" Dia. | German | VG+
    I purchased this piece more than 30 years ago at the Renninger's Flea Market in Pa. It was displayed for awhile and then stored away until now.
    I think that the black top is plastic.
    I think that the spin top is nickel plate. There is some light pitting / roughness. (If you didn't touch the surface, you wouldn't know).
    The spinning mechanism works perfectly.
    The Red base has one little paint chip and a small black mark on the outside. Overall it is pretty amazing condition. The interior has some amount of paint flaking and rust.
    Maker's Mark on the bottom: RogerSpin | Rogers Imports Inc. New York 16 NY + a hand ink stamp...Made in Germany

    : Some of the photos make the ashtray look a little orange - it is a solid fire engine red.
